The first passion
is my wonderful wife Ann. Since we began dating in 1970, got married
in 1974, and are currently enjoying retirement, she has supported
me in every endeavor I chose to pursue. Her support has made it
possible for me to accomplish many goals in my life.
My second passion
is music. From elementary band at Ellenwood School, through BHS,
Indiana University School of Music, DePaul Graduate School of Music,
and through today, I have always had music in my heart and soul.
Lloyd DuVall, the band director at BHS realized my talents and
was instrumental in getting me started on a professional career
in music. Most of my life, I have performed professionally in the
Chicago, Illinois area. Everyday I practice or perform. It is in
my blood.
The third passion
is motorcycles. When Ann and I went on our first date, I told her, “If
you won’t ride as a passenger on my motorcycle, do not go
out with me!” Over the years, we have traveled hundreds of
thousands of miles on our bikes. We have been involved as board
members of an international motorcycle club and have helped raised
funds for many charities.
My fourth passion
is friends. Since I do not have any siblings, my friends have become
my brothers and sisters. Whether it is “old” ’64
BHS grads, motorcycle buddies, musician acquaintances, or RV friends,
all of these people are a part of my “family.”
